Saint Lucia
PADF has played a key role in reducing crime and empowering high-risk youth in St. Lucia through the USAID-funded Community, Family and Youth Resilience Program (CFYR) project. By partnering with local governments, community groups, and international allies, PADF provided counseling, job training, and mentorship to prepare youth for employment and civic life. The initiative also built trust between youth and police, strengthened families, and supported reintegration programs for justice-involved youth—advancing public safety, human rights, and local development in St. Lucia.
By equipping young people with skills, mentorship, and support networks, PADF helps break the cycle of crime and violence while fostering safer and more resilient communities. Strengthening family and community ties, improving job prospects, and providing targeted interventions contribute to long-term stability and positive social change in St. Lucia. Adtitionally, PADF is implementing a regional STEM education initiative that includes St. Lucia, aimed at equipping youth with skills in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Through workshops, hands-on activities, and cross-country collaboration, the program inspires young people to explore future career paths in STEM fields while promoting innovation and critical thinking.
